Oxymels

Back in the Greek and Roman times the mixture of honey and vinegar was used as a natural remedy. The use of oxymels has spread across cultures and many traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. The term comes from the Latin words “oxy” meaning “acid”, and “mel” meaning “honey”. Today in Wild Sióg we are able to provide oxymels which are hand-crafted using raw apple cider vinegar with the Irish honey from our apiary and a selection of nutrient-rich herbs from our garden.
